The olive tree
in local life

The olive tree is the main thread of this experience.

During the stay, we’ll explore the harvest season, the local olive mill, the first oils of the year and the landscape shaped by thousands of olive trees.

We’ll visit a nearby olive grove to see the harvest up close and meet a local olive grower for a guided conversation about the olive grove in everyday life today.

Village life and local culture

This experience is also about the people, places and everyday rhythms of a real village in Jaén.

Together, we’ll explore Arjonilla, visit a nearby historic town and, depending on availability, discover a traditional market, a local producer or a space connected to everyday food culture.

Depending on the dates, we may also take part in local events or celebrations — always with time between visits to enjoy the house and the garden at your own pace.

We wanted to see a side of Spain that we'd never seen before and we really got that. The history of the local area was so very interesting and the beauty of the landscape was breathtaking. Add into this the hospitality we received from Inma and Miguel, which was humbling. We can't wait to visit again.
