Crafts and local artisans

Craftsmanship is the main thread of this experience.

During the stay, we visit a selection of workshops and craft spaces in Arjonilla and nearby towns. Depending on availability, these may include clay, wood, iron, plant fibres, lace, embroidery, candles or other traditional handmade processes from the area.
This is not a technical course. It is a chance to observe, ask questions, understand the materials and discover the people and stories behind each craft. No previous experience is needed — just curiosity.

Villages, olive groves and local culture

Crafts belong to a landscape, a history and a way of life. That is why the experience also includes time to discover Arjonilla, visit a nearby historic village, learn about the olive oil culture of Jaén and walk among the olive groves around our home.

The idea is simple: to discover Andalusia off the beaten path, not as a checklist of monuments, but as a living place made of people, crafts, landscapes and everyday rhythms.

Depending on the dates, we may also take part in local events or celebrations. Between visits, there will also be time to enjoy the house, the garden or the pool at your own pace.

We wanted to see a side of Spain that we'd never seen before and we really got that. The history of the local area was so very interesting and the beauty of the landscape was breathtaking. Add into this the hospitality we received from Inma and Miguel, which was humbling. We can't wait to visit again.
